Privacy policy/data protection
Data protection Midwifery practice – Midwife with a heart –
I am delighted that you have visited my website and are interested in my services.
The protection of your personal data is very important to me. Personal data is individual information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your civil name, address, telephone number, email address of customers, type of health insurance, expected delivery date or date of birth of the child. As this sensitive data enjoys special protection, I only collect it to the extent that is technically necessary. Below, I explain what information is collected during your visit to my website and how it is used. I will collect, process, and store your personal data exclusively for the purpose of processing inquiries and, if necessary, for the execution, fulfillment, and termination of contracts. My data protection practices comply with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data protection
I, midwife Christine Schuhr, take the protection of your privacy and personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR) and this privacy policy. When you visit my website, my web server automatically stores the IP address of your internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting me, the pages you have visited on my website, and the date and duration of your visit. This information is essential for the technical transmission of the website and secure server operation. This data is not evaluated on a personalized basis. You can use my website without providing any personal data. If you wish to contact me via my contact form, the data collected there will be stored on my computer or my provider's server for data backup purposes. However, I will only use your data to process your request. Your data will be treated as strictly confidential. It will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. I would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.

Personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e., information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, email address, or telephone number. However, data about preferences, hobbies, memberships, or which websites someone has viewed also counts as personal data. I only collect, use, and pass on personal data if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the collection of data.
Contact form
If you send me inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by me for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. Except for electronic billing (AZH billing program with the health insurance company), I will not pass on this data without your
consent.
Right to information, blocking, deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
Please contact me at any time free of charge if you would like information about your stored
personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing.
You have the right to request correction, blocking, or deletion of this data at any time, You have the right to correct, block, or delete this data at any time, provided that this does not violate any other law (e.g., midwifery law, documentation obligation for 10 years, or tax regulations). Do you have any further questions about personal data? You also have the right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). In these cases, please contact me directly.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that I process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done if it is technically feasible.
Legal basis for processing
Art. 6 I lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations in which I obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, as is the case, for example, with course registrations that are necessary, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. b GDPR. The same applies to processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of inquiries about my courses. If I am subject to a legal obligation that requires the processing of personal data, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. c GDPR. Finally, processing operations may be based on Art. 6 I lit. f GDPR. Processing operations that are not covered by any of the above legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of mine or of a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. I am permitted to carry out such processing operations in particular because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator. In this regard, the legislator took the view that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a customer of the controller (Recital 47, sentence 2 GDPR).

Storage period
Personal data entered by you when using the services of the midwifery practice - Hebamme mit Herz - will be stored in encrypted form for the period from the initial contact until the end of the care relationship, including the time required for invoicing. In addition, the criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiry of this period, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer required for the fulfillment of the contract or for the initiation of a contract. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies I use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other
cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable me to recognize your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Server log files – automatically stored and non-personal data
The provider of the pages (Jimdo) automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to me for technical and administrative reasons. This includes: browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address. This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals. It is used solely for statistical purposes or to improve my internet and online services. This non-personal data is stored separately from personal data and therefore cannot be assigned to individual persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. However, I reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if I become aware of specific indications of illegal use. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
Communication via WhatsApp
I use the instant messaging service WhatsApp, among other things, to communicate with my customers and other third parties. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from gaining access to the communication content. However, WhatsApp does have access to metadata generated during the communication process (e.g., sender, recipient, and time). I would also like to point out that, according to its own statements, WhatsApp shares the personal data of its users with its parent company Facebook, which is based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in WhatsApp's privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy. The use of WhatsApp is based on my legitimate interest in communicating with customers, interested parties, and other business and contractual partners as quickly and effectively as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If consent has been requested, data processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent; this consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
The communication content exchanged between and on WhatsApp remains with me until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected. Google Web Fonts This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. The use of Google web fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of my online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
